You can change the MFD to display the digital speed. It is larger than shown in the picture and takes up the whole middle section of the MFD. Don't think there's a way to show it small at the bottom like the km/h. Like someone else said, that was just designed to comply with legal requirements in other countries.

Golf R on the highway question. I am trying to decide between a Volkswagen golf R and a GTI autobahn package. Once or twice a week I have to do a 360mile round trip on the highway. I've been told that the golf R transmission gears are much shorter than the GTI which would translate to a higher RPM on the highway when cruising in sixth gear.
