This is a much faster, freer-revving engine than before. It picks up revs like a 750, not a 1200, the lightness of the crank evident as the motor rushes through the revs. It’s an addictive engine, that noise, that attitude, it’s like the original Speed Triple on a diet of elephant-level steroids. The ride is stiff.
An unexpected bonus in light of Triumph’s efforts to keep this bike fresh is an MSRP unchanged from 2011 pricing: The 2012 Street Triple R retails for $9599 ($8899 for the standard Street Triple) and is available in Crystal White, Phantom Black or Diablo Red. I get loads of question asking which is better the Speed Triple or Street Triple RS. I thought it was about time I borrowed both for some back to back testin
The ex-showroom price of Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS is ₹ 18,24,968 and Triumph Street Triple 765 is ₹ 9,21,017. Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS is available in 3 colours and 1 variant and Triumph Street Triple 765 is available in 2 colours. Apart from prices, you can also find comparison of these bikes based on displacement, mileage
I chose the Street Triple over the Speed Triple because the Street is more agile and flickable and the engine is very smooth. The Speed Triple has more torque and a better seat. Both are excellent machines and, I would suggest, personal preference should, in the end, decide.
