I found a ps3 guitar for 10 dollars online, and I want to be able to use it for clone hero and for guitar hero, but I own a 360. All of my Xbox guitars that worked with Guitar Hero III are now broken and all of the 360 guitars are super expensive. Thank you! No absolutely not you dont need to have a guitar controller to play (even though its called guitar hero) But theres no way, retail to get the game without a guitar (playable). Band is more than 1 player (thats 2 or more) any combination.

best guitar is the Xbox 360 xplorer I think is considered to be the Best out of the box guitar but if you get a modded guitar or use a raphnet on a wii les Paul those can be the best too it's really all preference though. The xplorer is also the hardest to get for a good deal they can be found at thrift shops alongside many other guitars but
They're more fun to play with hyperspeed on, on hard mode. Other songs though that are tricky on the guitar that requires you to push all the buttons consecutively and repetitively are what I would consider a good "controller" song. Such as Raining Blood for example. The Aerosmith songs are fantastic in that regard.
